National Taipei University (NTPU) is one of the leading universities in Taiwan with an academic pursuit mainly in the field of social sciences. It was ranked 201 – 205th among Young Universities in the recent Times Higher Education World University Rankings. The university spread its influence globally, forming partnerships with 110 universities all over the world to launch international joint research projects, welcome exchange scholars, set up dual degree programs, and internships. Visiting students are from America, India, Hong Kong, Singapore, China, France and Poland, among others. NTPU offers a 2-year International Master’s Program in Urban Governance (IPUG) at the College of Public Affairs (CPA). The IPUG is specifically designed to provide international students with opportunities to undergo interdisciplinary training from the College of Public Affairs. This approach provides students with holistic knowledge they need to solve the complex challenges of city governance. Scholarships and assistantships are also available for international students to subsidize their living cost and academic fees upon approval of the department.
